Operations Manager, Global Point Newtownabbey

Working in our state-of-the-art facility in Newtownabbey the Operations Manager will deliver performance that is constantly ahead of budget, through inspiring their team to develop and maintain great customer relationships through outstanding quality and delivery performance in parallel with focused and decisive cost management.

  • Ensure the utmost focus and highest standards with respect to HS&E
  • Profit, inspire and leading the team to be better than budget
  • Cash, inspire and leading the team to better than budget
  • EVA, inspire and leading the team to achieve the required year over year growth
  • 100% customer satisfaction through on time delivery to the highest levels of quality
  • The development and fostering of customer relationships, always being an advocate of RLC and achieving customer intimacy and understanding
  • Ownership and delivery of all business planning and reporting, including capital investments
  • Ownership of all commercial issues for the CBU’s running products
  • Ownership of all appropriate business tools and metrics, ensuring that they are used with maximum impact to drive CBU performance
  • Leadership and development of a multi-functional CBU team, comprising;
    • Quality
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Planning
    • Value Stream Managers
    • Working Shift Leaders
    • Operators
  • Ensure that the CBU is fully integrated into RLC, maximising not just the respective CBU’s position but continually having regard for organizational priorities and contributing to the overall goals of RLC
  • Act as a strong and inspirational leader and coach to the CBU members, ensuring all people actions and processes are initiated and followed through delivering enabled, empowered and engaged employees

Experience           

5 years’ experience in a middle to senior management roles

Machining Experience

Profit and Loss account management

Delivery of performance improvement in a similar environment

Sound knowledge of workplace problem solving techniques

Key role in implementation of strategy

 

Education / Qualifications

Degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline – Engineering / Manufacturing

MILL TURN MACHINISTS - RLC RONALDSWAY, ISLE OF MAN

Ronaldsway Aircraft Company manufactures a diverse range of precision engineered components and assemblies for use within the civil and defence aerospace sectors. Ronaldsway’s most recognised products are major assemblies and complex components for companies such as Rolls-Royce and Martin Baker. Due to a positive growth strategy and the on-going scale of our order books, we have a number of newly created roles.

RLC Ronaldsway is a world class provider of components & services to the Aerospace industry.  Located on the Isle of Man, we are seeking an experienced Mill/Turn machine setter-operator to support our CNC machining division.

The skilled Mill/Turn machine setter-operator will work in the precision machining areas of our business. Their role will be to ensure that mill turned parts are produced to an excellent standard for our customers.

They will be working on various size mill turn machines including Traubs, Citizen E32, M32, M16, Mazaks i series and Gildemeisters.

They will have the ability to learn additional complex machining methods, have a fine attention to detail, with a desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of the section.

They must be somebody who believes in putting the customer first and be a person who is willing to learn various customer requirements to supplement their existing mill turn skills in producing quality parts on time.

Manufacturing Engineer – RLC Ronaldsway, Isle of Man

RLC Ronaldsway is a world class provider of components & services to the Aerospace industry.  Located on the Isle of Man, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support our CNC machining division.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of defining and delivering efficient CNC machining processes for mill turn CNC machines.  Strong fundamentals in CAD, CAD/CAM and CNC machining are required.

We are seeking a person with a “can do” attitude who will work as part of a team with minimal supervision to deliver world class results.  You will be an integral part of an engineering team that defines and implements efficient defect free processes for new and existing product lines that are conducive with current aerospace manufacturing techniques. 

The Manufacturing Engineer will be required to:

  • Work effectively within a cross functional team to develop and produce equipment specifications and processes in line with existing guidelines, on time and within budget.
  • Have good understanding of aerospace manufacturing systems.
  • Interpret customer drawings, CAD models and specifications.
  • Create and maintain production methods including validation of capability to original scope and final customer requirements.
  • Provide NPI feasibility estimations and prove-out validation.
  • Provide hands-on technical and operator training for new and existing machining processes.
  • Work hands-on with machinists to develop new project roll-outs.
  • Knowledge of EdgeCam, Vericut, Mazatrol, Heidenhain and Fanuc Gcode.
  • Efficient in the use of 3D CAD systems. Eg Solidworks.
  • Experience in fixture design.
  • Strong problem-solving/problem-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrate lean implementation and sustainability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding databases and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Provide technical support to customers, production cells and project teams.
  • Experience with CAPEX justification and new equipment implementation.
  • Define process flow for new and current projects using manufacturing system design tools and methodology.
