Kitting

RLC has a depth of knowledge in managing the supply of kits direct to customer assembly stations to aid in lean manufacture. Through our own in house capabilities, as well as a comprehensive Supply Chain Management structure we are able to successfully integrate parts from not only the UK supply base, but also from global low cost sources.

We also support our customers by offering daily deliveries to increase stock turns and reduce inventory.

Our kitting areas operate using KANBAN inventory control methodology, to ensure the correct balance is achieved between stock holding and our ability to respond to changes in demand in the market place.

Assembly

Our assembly capability ranges from low complex machined components with inserted bearings through to highly complex ejection seat assemblies containing hundreds of part numbers.

Complex assemblies are constructed using parts produced in house, as well as a high content of bought out parts. The ability to control the supply of parts to ensure on time delivery of our major assemblies is a significant factor in our customers choosing RLC for this type of work.

Our assembly facilities are split into customer focused product family areas to reduce cycle times and overheads.
