RLC Engineering Group have been involved in the manufacture of blisks since the very earliest stages of their development and are still a leading player in blisk manufacturing today.

Blisks are at the very pinnacle of technology, complexity and risk, and present a unique challenge to both the designer and the manufacturer. RLC’s experience in 5-axis programming and machining created the foundation from which our blisk machining skills, knowledge and experience has developed.

Today, RLC Engineering Group has the capability to produce parts ranging from small High-Pressure compressor rotor blisks through to large diameter fan blisks from solid titanium or friction welded assemblies.

The largest blisk produced to date was over 50 inches (1270mm) in diameter and featured airfoils of almost 19 inches (480mm) in length.
